Lloyd’s is set to host a diversity and inclusion festival called Dive In which will be organised by Inclusion at Lloyd’s and open to everyone in the insurance market.

On the broker side Aon, Willis and Marsh are among the companies sponsoring the festival and events will be held at twelve company offices across EC3 from 29 September to 2 October this year.

Guest speakers will include former BP chief Lord Browne, former footballer John Barnes, and cricketer Marcus Trescothick.

According to Julie Page, Marsh’s CEO for its UK commercial and consumer business and a member of the Inclusion at Lloyd’s committee, about 30 companies are involved with sponsoring the event.

Describing it as a call to action for the industry, she highlighted that the aim of the festival was to build awareness and educate people in the market about diversity and inclusion.

Aon UK CEO and chair of Inclusion at Lloyd’s Dominic Christian, said: “People work better knowing that they are valued and included.

“If we create inclusive environments and cultures in our workplaces, more people will achieve their full potential, and that quite simply is good for business.”

Inclusion at Lloyd’s is a joint initiative of the Corporation of Lloyd’s, the International Underwriting Association, the London and International Insurance Brokers’ Association and the Lloyd’s Market Association and earlier this year the British Insurance Brokers’ Association becameone of its official supporters.
